The Rare Genomics Institute is a medical research organization that focuses on rare diseases (any condition affecting fewer than 200,000 people in the US) and works primarily with children. In preparation for “Rare Disease Day”, the institute wanted to create awareness and educate the public about rare diseases in a way that was easy to digest.
In-House Int’l created an infographic for the Rare Genomics Institute, and additional collateral based on the infographic. The infographic showed some key stats about rare diseases and the institution’ s work, while maintaining a child-friendly aesthetic.
The infographic was widely distributed and picked up by the TED Conference blog, which featured the infographic next to an interview of then-director Jimmy Lin. It’ s also included in Pharmaceutical Giant Novartis selection of infographics related to Rare Diseases. [source]
