Let’s cut to the chase: what would you do exactly?

  • Develop new and planned user-facing features for multi-stakeholder platform
  • Take ownership of user-facing buildout for custom application, making suggestions and working to improve the overall effectiveness of the project with the team.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, modifying if necessary to achieve the same design objectives when obstacles exist.
  • Optimize custom build to remain lightweight and to spec, paying special attention to backend and database-specific directives

  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Implement a web interface (widgets) within a SPA architecture based on React/Redux using ES6
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders (you will be working closely with a small team, so this is crucial)
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services

“What about experience or qualifications?” *

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript libraries, including jQuery
  • Good understanding of D3 and ReactJS (will consider candidates with proven curiosity to develop proficiency in these libraries)
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs
  • Proven track record of shipping quality products to customers
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience using Redux with React
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience using React Router

  • Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Webpack
  • Familiarity with ES6
